Workshops and Materials Supervisor Full-time Job

Key Responsibilities:

Workshop Management:

Supervise the daily operations of test range workshops and hangars, ensuring they are fully functional and comply with safety standards.

Coordinate the maintenance, repair, and calibration of workshop tools and equipment.

Develop and implement standard operating procedures for workshop activities.

Material Management:

Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies needed for test range operations.

Ensure all equipment, targetry, plant, and mobile infrastructure is maintained as part of an overall Scheduled Maintenance and Upkeep planning cycle

Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely ordering of materials to avoid shortages.

Implement inventory control systems to track usage and manage stock levels effectively.

Team Supervision:

Manage and train workshop staff and material handlers, ensuring they follow safety and operational guidelines.

Schedule shifts and assign tasks to ensure efficient workflow and coverage.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure all workshop and material handling operations comply with safety regulations and best practices.

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of workshops and storage areas.

Provide safety training and enforce adherence to safety protocols among staff.

Support for Test Operations:

Coordinate with test range technicians and engineers to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment for tests.

Ensure hangar and workshop space is scheduled in accordance with the services booking and in line with test schedule requirements

Assist in the setup and breakdown of test sites as required.

Ensure materials and equipment used in tests meet quality and specification requirements.
