Responsibilities

This role is responsible for ensuring the successful evaluation and delivery of Mechanical equipment & exchanger package, for day-to-day company liaison and delivery schedule and budget.

Reporting to the Head of Discipline Mechanical and working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams across the project cycle (Concept, FEED), your role will be contributing to technical delivery of engineering excellence through the execution of assigned scopes of work and providing Mechanical and thermal engineering expertise.

Working as part of an integrated project team you will be:

Undertaking heat exchanger designs using HTRI software

Adequacy check for existing exchangers with changes in the process parameters.

Preparing a range of engineering deliverables, including data sheets, specifications, calculations, reports, and technical requisitions.

Review and evaluation of equipment suppliers’ bids

Provision of support and advice on heat exchanger matters

Provide interdisciplinary design inputs to Piping, Civil & Structural, Electrical & Instrumentation as part of early engineering.

Qualifications

Suitably qualified in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution with a minimum of 10-15 + years with relevant industry experience, you will have:

Extensive experience, working with heat exchangers on FEED and EPC projects for onshore and offshore on brownfield oil and gas, refinery, gas processing facilities.

Experience in the use of HTRI software for the design of shell and tube and air - cooled heat exchangers.

Familiarity with TEMA and relevant API and ASME codes and standards

Ability to manage risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements.

Proven experience managing small teams of Engineers.

Excellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing roles.

Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills

Computer literate within Microsoft Office
