Day- to-day operations:

Responsible for the Ducting & Insulation activities onboard and workshop.

Identify the jobs along with Project Managers and Supervisors. Carryout site inspection/survey as required.

Jobs listed out as per SRM/PM and Supervisor to be distributed to various Foremen/ Job leads within department.

Responsible for productivity i.e. man-hours control of assigned project. Expected to develop ways to follow up and control man-hours being consumed on projects under his belt.

Coordinate and liaise with Project Managers, Ship Superintendents and all departments/sections/trades, ensuring smooth workflow on projects.

Provide dynamic back up to the Foreman for managing and handling projects including providing technical advice as required.

Ensure all work is carried out safely, befitting the high standards of DDW-D. Ensure that the Stop Work Authority and Safety management program on department’s safety objectives is strictly followed and appropriate measures are taken.

Ensure all work is carried out to the required quality in the best possible manner and within the guidelines of best practices.

Conduct frequent audits around work areas and report non-compliance to the Foremen on issues of Safety, Quality and Productivity.

Technical competencies:

Knowledge and experience in a ship repair facility with vessels and rig repairs.

Experience in a similar position in a reputed shipyard.

Familiar with technical terms related to ship repairs and yacht repairs.
