Report Design Specialist Full-time Job

What You'll Do

Work closely with data analysts and business/product stakeholders to gather requirements and understand the purpose and objectives behind reporting requests while aligning with organizational objectives.

Act as the custodian of our reporting practice, supporting the data team through reviewing existing reports, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending enhancements to increase impact, usability and user experience.

Champion reporting best practices within the data team and across the organization, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness in reporting processes.

Utilize UI/UX design principles to conceptualize, design, and develop reports and dashboards that effectively communicate insights and drive decision-making.

Conduct workshops and presentations with data team members and stakeholders to present report designs, gather feedback, and incorporate necessary revisions.

Take ownership of the metric design process, ensuring that metrics are designed in a scalable and reusable manner to minimize redundancy and maximize efficiency.

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in reporting and analytics, incorporating innovative approaches and technologies to continuously enhance our reporting capabilities.

What Are We Looking For

An advanced degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.

At least 4 years of industry experience in report design, data visualization, and metric design.

Comfort with ambiguity and a track record of driving impact in fast-paced environments.

Proficiency in report design tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.

Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and experience applying them to reporting solutions.

Solid grasp of SQL and database concepts to effectively query and manipulate data.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively influence non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with technical teammates.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive consensus on reporting requirements.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable reporting solutions.

Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality, visually appealing reports that provide clear insights.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Continuous learning mindset with a passion for staying updated on the latest trends and best practices in reporting and analytics.
