As a receiving agent at our hotel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain and inventory management. Your primary responsibility will be to receive and inspect deliveries of goods, verify quantities, and ensure that all items meet our quality standards. You will also be responsible for accurately documenting deliveries, organizing stockrooms, and assisting with inventory control. The receiving agent works closely with the purchasing department, kitchen staff, and other hotel departments to maintain adequate supplies and facilitate efficient operations.

Receive deliveries of goods and verify against purchase orders.

Inspect items for quality, quantity, and specification compliance.

Properly document received goods and update inventory records.

Organize and store incoming inventory in designated storage areas.

Assist with inventory management, including conducting regular stock counts.

Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding delivery discrepancies or quality issues.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the receiving area.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area and stockrooms.

Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as needed.

Report any issues or concerns to the purchasing manager or relevant department heads.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a receiving clerk or similar role in a hotel or related industry.

Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately inspect and document deliveries.

Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.

Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
