Import Export Purchase Agent Full-time Job

Responsibilities:

Source and purchase goods and materials from international suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.

Coordinate import and export shipments, including arranging transportation, preparing shipping documents, and managing customs clearance procedures.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, shipments, and customs documentation.

Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.

Collaborate closely with internal departments (such as logistics, finance, and sales) to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and optimize supply chain efficiency.

Stay updated on international trade regulations and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to import-export laws.

Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders.

Manage the end-to-end import and export process, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.

Requirements:

Proven work experience as an Import-Export Purchase Agent, Import-Export Coordinator, or similar role.

In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and service providers.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems; experience with trade management software (e.g., SAP GTS, Descartes) is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
