ROLE PROFILE

Developing a Centre of Excellence that sets the directives, standards, best practices, framework and houses key communication collateral and templates from which all in-country communications colleagues can access to ensure consistency and quality in their communications activities

Act as the main point of contact between all communication managers and the communications function at Corporate Head Office

Develop templates for pre-determined KPI’s and performance metrics, tracking and reporting performance, KPI’s, (output and outcomes) for each market, conduct audits and provide counsel and guidance to in-market communications colleagues to achieve the wider communications goals of the business (both corporate and customer brand ambitions)

As a master communications strategy architect, guide, overseeing and approve localized communications strategies, action plans, desired output and outcomes for each Carrefour market across Majid Al Futtaim Retail’s portfolio

Reviewing content and output from local market communications across portfolio, providing counsel, guidance and approval to uplift communications standards of Carrefour in-line with

Majid Al Futtaim’s standards, ensuring that they align with their local strategies and ladder up to the overall communications strategy of Majid Al Futtaim Retail.

Work closely within communications team to ensure collaboration between all functions to provide integrated communications across all channels.

Having total visibility through periodic ongoing checks with each communications manager across the markets, including view of their action plans, in-market challenges and objectives, and reviewing results, while providing on-going counsel and guidance to improve outcomes and remained focused on local and company-wide strategic goals.

Lead on issue and crisis communications management including maintaining an issues tracker, updating and uplifting existing crisis comms strategies and playbook, running crisis communications training for leaders and communications managers and providing ongoing counsel and support

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in communication, Public Relations of Marketing

A minimum of 8+ years relevant, demonstrated experience / proven track record in a similar role with minimum of 3 years in managing communications teams, preferably across several countries

Relevant experience working with retail / consumer goods industry / multinational and technology companies

Communications agency or news media journalism experience
