Job Details

Key Accountabilities:

Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference plans, locations of surfaces and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Programs mills & lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches, calculating requirements including math, geometry and trigonometry and pivoting part programs.

Maintains specifications by the following activities:

Observing all CAD/CAM process, strategy and approach

Detecting malfunctions

Troubleshooting processes

Adjusting and reprogramming controls and

Adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes

Creates NC programs utilizing high accuracy machining techniques and using machine simulation software

Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.

Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Ensuring a safe and efficient manufacturing environment

Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Experience & Education Qualifications:

Minimum 15 years Exp. as CNC programmer

Minimum: High School diploma

Well versed in CAM software (MasterCAM, Edge CAM, NX, Vericut or CATIA)

Preferred: experience on controllers including:

Fanuc turn and mill, Heidenheim Controls, Siemens, Mazak ( Masetrol ), Gsk controller, Syntec

Conceptual Skills, attention to detail

Ability to read engineering drawings & Models

Experience with Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software
