Job Details

Key Accountabilities:

Lead/ establish a Industrialization & Production Engineering capability in the Development Engineering division.

Be a key member in product design reviews in order to influence the testability, reliability, availability, maintainability and produce-ability of the designs and products..

Oversee the development of Tools, Jigs & Fixtures required in the manufacturing and acceptance testing of the various Sub-Assemblies as well as in the assembly process.

Gain product and design intent knowledge for industrialization and know-how transfer in order to form a bridge between development and production.

Review of the Engineering data pack and generation of the required technical documentation in order to ensure mature data packs for manufacturing and acceptance.

Establish capabilities such as Design For Manufacture, Process Planning Sheets and Test Requirements as examples.

Train and mentor colleagues / subordinates, preparing instructions and user guides assuring the correct application of and adherence to all processes and workflows.

Experience & Education Qualifications:

Technical Qualification (National Diploma, National Higher Diploma or equivalent) in the field of Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.

At least 20 years’ relevant experience working in the development-engineering &environment of precision guided munitions (years-of-relevant-experience requirement can be reduced based on qualifications).

Energetic material handling and integration training and experience a distinct advantage.
