Key Accountabilities:

Establish and enhance the technical capabilities of our Navigation department, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Provide visionary leadership to the Navigation team, driving the design, strategy, and implementation of business objectives.

Oversee all aspects of Navigation projects, from planning and development to management and reporting, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.

Develop and manage the department’s budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and delivery of high-quality projects.

Lead reviews of navigation simulations and test results to ensure software integrity and conformance to specifications.

Identify and implement new algorithms to enhance navigation performance, fostering innovation within the team.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, driving continuous improvement in navigation systems.

Stay abreast of technological advancements to identify opportunities for system enhancement.

Motivate and mentor the Navigation team, fostering a culture of excellence and supporting career development.

Experience & Education Qualifications:

Minimum 18+ years of experience in the development of navigation algorithms, with significant leadership experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Mechanical engineering or related discipline.

Preferred 20+ years of experience in navigation systems development, preferably in the defense industry.

Preferred Master’s degree or higher qualification in Electronics or Mechanical engineering, with certification in control systems and optimal estimation theory.

Proficiency in designing advanced navigation systems and techniques.

Experience in developing and simulating navigation system algorithms.

Knowledge of simulation models and software architecture, as well as inertial sensors.

Strong skills in developing and debugging software.
