Responsibilities

Managing and Provisioning

Lead and work together with senior colleagues to develop a clear, ambitious, and achievable school IT vision and strategic plan. .

Successfully oversee a team to effectively operate and develop all IT services to meet changing school needs.

To make sure the IT Support team’s knowledge is kept up to date to be able to constantly improve modern IT services that support the school’s operational and educational needs.

To develop and maintain school policies that are aligned with NAE standards to secure correct use of IT services and equipment in school.

To ensure efficient asset management buy use of tools and processes.

Follow NAE Cyber Security Guidelines and implementation of mitigation activities to prevent any possible intrusions, prevent loss of data through illegal access and damage by malware/viruses.

To fulfil any reasonable additional responsibilities as may be from time to time requested by school and NAE leaders.

Retain a focus at all times on improving the quality of teaching and learning.

Operations and Support

Successfully manage service management by implementing and using the NAE standard Service Management system, Service Desk Plus.

Follow NAE Change Management processes.

Ensure the network (+ Wifi) is operational at all times and disaster recovery plans are in place.

Responsibility for a regular preventative maintenance programme, resolving failures in hardware and software and ensuring appropriate “housekeeping” tasks are implemented

To make sure all critical data is stored appropriately and regularly tested to make sure all configuration and procedures are working.

To keep user accounts always updated to secure that the right and minimal permissions are in place.
