APS System Specialist Full-time Job

Roles and Responsibility

• To be the internal knowledgeable expert for this system and be fully conversant on the APS system, its’ interfaces, design, function, implementation, and operation as is needed for this railway system operation.

• To engage and drive the APS consultants in delivering suitable, meaningful, clear, concise, efficient, and complete documentation and specifications for defining the requirements and functionality of the APS system in a useable set of documents.

• To take prime position in driving any tenders needed arising from the consultant’s documentation.

• To engage and drive the awarded contractor(s) in delivering an integrated functional system and all services Tested and without significant issues on time for system go live in Mid-2025.

• To interface as needed with ER Mobility, ER Infrastructure and ER Freight as needed to ensure timely progress and minimal system Interface issues.

• It is important to ensure, any problems, delays, or other undesirable events are brought to the attention of the line manager as soon as possible to enable a quick resolution.

Desirable qualifications, skills, and experience

Academic Qualifications:

• University Degree or higher in Computer systems or IT related field

Professional Qualifications:

• 5 years’ Experience with the DELMIA Quintiq Advanced Scheduling systems for Rail

Experience:

• 10 years’ Experience with implementing Advanced Scheduling systems for Rail (Critical)

• 15 years’ Experience on railway operations or railway projects
