We have a great opportunity for a talented chef to join our Culinary team in Sofra BLD restaurant. The successful applicant will have a passion for their craft and bring an advanced and varied skillset to the role.

What we are looking for?

• 1+ years experience in a similar position in a 4* or 5* hotel.
• Apprenticeship or College Level with basic / intermediate knowledge of Food Hygiene.
• Past experience preparing high quality dishes.
• Lives & Breathes the Shangri-La values.

What will you do?

• Check all food set-ups in the banquet functions and to coordinate all specific duties to employees under his supervision.
• Ensure consistency and highest quality of food taste, temperature and presentation.
• Maintain strict control on food portioning and wastage, ensuring gross food profitability.
• Ensure that staff follow the hygiene and sanitation procedures when handling food / equipment / utensils.
• Ensure smooth and effective communication among the kitchens and with other departments.
• Liaise and work closely with the Stewarding department for pre-planning and execution of delivery and cleanliness of equipment.
